Resonant is currently searching for a candidate to fill the role of Field Service Technician 1, whose duties will comprise of maintaining chemical dosing equipment at customers’ sites, remote monitoring, startup, installation assistance, troubleshooting and repair. This position does involve travel within the United States with future possibilities supporting equipment overseas. The ideal candidate will have completed formal technical training, either military or college, relating to the support of industrial equipment with extensive knowledge of electrical controls. Additionally the position requires interaction with customers therefore excellent verbal and oral communication skills are a necessity. Knowledge in the following fields will substantially strengthen a candidate’s chances of obtaining the position:

• Variable Frequency Drives (VFD)
• Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
• Human Machine Interface (HMI)
• Centrifugal Pumps
• Flow Transmitters
• Analog Signals (4-20mA)
• 3 Phase Power
• DC Power
• Fluid Mechanics

Computer Skills to include basic office software such as Word Processing, Power Point, Outlook and Excel as well as the ability to become fully familiar with PLC programming software to both troubleshoot and create code.

This position is being opened to primarily support the ethanol industry in the upper Midwest and ideally the chosen candidate would be located in or near the Chicago area in order to provide quick response by land or air. Other locations within the region will be considered.

The position requires the technician to work from a home office while not traveling and be self motivated with very minimal direct supervision.
